Bridges Community Ministries is a Christ-centered, Gospel-driven organization dedicated to evangelism, discipleship, and the equipping of the next generation.
Our mission is to align with organizations that work toward advancing God’s redemptive purposes for our community.
We exist to glorify God by proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ and walking alongside individuals as they grow into fully devoted followers of Him. Our vision is to build bridges to Christ—sharing His love, truth, and transforming power with our community and beyond.
FAITH STATEMENT
-
The Bible
The Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is God’s revelation of Himself to man, written by men divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit.
It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth without any mixture of error for its matter. Scripture is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice and is totally true and trustworthy.
-
God and the Trinity
There is one and only one living and true God. He eternally exists in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each fully and equally God, without division of essence, nature, or being.
God is the Creator, Redeemer, Sustainer, and Ruler of all things.
-
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and offered Himself as the perfect, once-for-all sacrifice for sin through His death on the cross.
His substitutionary death made provision for the redemption of all people. He rose bodily from the grave, ascended into Heaven, and now sits at the right hand of the Father, interceding on behalf of believers. He is the only mediator between God and man, and the only means of salvation.
-
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is present in the world to convict people of sin, righteousness, and judgment.
He indwells every believer, empowering them to live a life of spiritual growth, witness, and service. He equips the Church with gifts for building up the body of Christ and advancing the Gospel. -
Salvation
Salvation is by grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ. It is not earned by works but is a free gift of God available to all who repent and trust in Christ as Savior and Lord.
Through His life, death, and resurrection, Jesus accomplished full redemption. Salvation includes regeneration (new birth), justification, sanctification, and glorification. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ. -
Humanity and the Image of God
All human beings are created in the image of God and therefore have inherent worth, dignity, and purpose. From the moment of conception, every life is sacred. Though created for relationship with God, all people are born with a fallen nature and choose sin, which separates them from God.
However, through Jesus, anyone can be reconciled to God and restored to true life.
-
The Church and the Mission
The Church is the body of Christ, called to make disciples of all nations, baptizing, teaching, and equipping believers to live in obedience to Christ.
We are called to proclaim the Gospel boldly, disciple intentionally, serve lovingly, and live faithfully.
Through acts of love, service, and truth, the Church displays the Kingdom of God to a watching world. -
The Christian Life
We are called to live in holiness, humility, and obedience, bearing fruit through the work of the Holy Spirit.
Every believer is invited into a lifelong journey of spiritual formation and personal growth, learning to love God and love others more fully. -
Christ’s Return and Eternal Hope
According to His promise, Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory to the earth.
He will judge the living and the dead. Those who are in Christ will be raised to eternal life and joy in the presence of God, while those who reject Him will be separated from God forever. We look forward with hope to the day when all things will be made new.
